WEB DESIGN AND USABILITY
Description:
This course is intended for students who know the basic steps to creating a web site and have some basic HTML knowledge, but do not know design or usability principles . Students will receive professional instruction in how to plan and design functional, successful Web sites. Specific topics include: gathering information to create your web site, creating a mock-up for a site, developing readable content for the Web, performing usability testing on a Web site, and advertising your Web site on the Net.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- gather information to create a Web site.
- create a mock-up for a site.
- develop content for the Web.
- perform usability testing on a Web site.
- publicize a Web site.
Prerequisite: HTML Level 1 or equivalent knowledge
Training Type: Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities. Max # of students = 6.
